Program Requirements and Highlights :
- Provides low interest rate financing up to $240,000 for the purchase of a primary residence, land purchase or a remodeling loan to qualified Texas veterans.
- Can be used as a VA, FHA or Conventional loan.
- Veteran may have a VA loan outstanding to be used for a subsequent purchase of a primary residence.
- Weekly Veterans Land Board base interest rate of a 30-year loan is often significantly lower than market rates.
- In addition to the program’s already low rates, further discounts may apply:
- Discount for loans with a term of 15 years: -0.25%
- Qualified Greenbuilding Program: -0.20%**
- Qualified Troops to Teachers Program: -0.20%**
- Qualified Veterans with Disabilities Program: -0.20%**
- Qualified Service Era Discount (Restricted Pool): changes weekly
- Veterans may use each loan program more than once provided the previous loan is repaid.
- All properties must be wholly located in the state of Texas.
- TVLB loans may not be used for refinancing.
